Ingredients
For the Meatballs:
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1/3 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1 cloves garlic minced
- 2 green onions sliced
For the Sauce:
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/3 cup beef broth
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp crushed red chili flakes
- 1/2 Tbsp cornstarch
- 1/2 Tbsp water
- 4 cloves garlic minced
Instructions
- INSTRUCTIONS:
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
- In a large bowl, mix together ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, soy sauce, garlic and green onions until all combined. Make 1-inch sized balls and place on a prepared baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Pop the meatballs in the oven and bake for about 13 to 15 minutes, until lightly browned and cooked through.
- While the meatballs are baking in the oven, combine soy sauce, honey, beef broth, garlic, and pepper in a small saucepan on the stove and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and let the sauce simmer for about 5 minutes to thicken up.
- If you feel like your sauce is too thin, mix 1/2 tablespoon of cornstarch with 1/2 tablespoon of water in a small bowl to make a slurry and pour that into the sauce to thicken it up even more. Mix in 1/4 tsp to 1/2 tsp crushed red chili flakes and turn off the heat.
- Once the meatballs are done baking, coat them entirely with the sticky sauce.
- Spoon meatballs over fluffy jasmine rice, drizzling with extra sauce, and top with green onions and sesame seeds. Enjoy!
